Thank God, as in-person worship for each congregation has restarted, the number of participants in each of our worship services continues to increase. In-person Children’s Worship and Children’s Sunday School have also reopened to a limited extent.  Ever since the Cantonese in-person worship reopened in July, newcomers have attended almost every week.  Among them are recent immigrants, returnees, and brothers and sisters who have recently transferred to our church due to relocation.  BAC welcomes each and every one of them, and prays that they will stay and make BAC their spiritual home.       

        Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Worship can only reopen to a limited extent mainly due to a shortage of manpower. There are several reasons for this: First, some of the brothers and sisters who served in children ministry in the past are not yet comfortable to return to church.  Second, after more than a year of staying home without serving in any position, some people have grown complacent, and need time to regain their motivation to serve.  Third, because the pandemic has lasted for more than 18 months, the opportunity to encourage and invite new brothers and sisters to serve in children’s ministry has been interrupted.  Because of all these factors, a shortage of manpower has resulted.  

        Dear brothers and sisters, in this critical transition period, I hope you can reach out to help as soon as possible and take the initiative to participate in children’s ministry so that there are enough leaders and helpers every Sunday to continue to serve and build up our next generation.  They need to be fed spiritually without interruption.  Nursery rooms are in need of helpers too.  Please come serve so that our parents can worship with peace of mind.     

        BAC cherishes our next generation very much, let us all rise together to build them up.  Please contact the current person in charge of the Children’s Ministry (Loran Tang) as soon as possible.  May your love for God and the children burden you to serve Him greatly. 

        感謝神,隨著各語系開始重啟實體崇拜,參加實體崇拜人數續漸增加。實體兒童崇拜及兒童主日學亦有限度地重開。粵語堂自七月重開實體崇拜後,幾乎每週都有新的來賓參加。當中有新到步的移民,回流的與及近期因搬遷而轉教會的弟兄姊妹等等。本宣家十分歡迎他們每一位,容讓本宣家能成為他們固定屬靈的家。  

         兒童主日學與及兒童崇拜只能夠有限度重開的原因,主要是因為人手不足。當中有幾方面的原因: 第一方面,過去在兒童事工上事奉的一些弟兄姊妹,還未放心參加教會實體聚會,因而不能返回以往的事奉崗位,導至人手短缺。第二方面,一些過去在兒童部曾經事奉的,因為經過近一年多的網上聚會,完全不需要參與任何事奉而習慣了。他們需要時間去重啟他們事奉的動力。第三方面,因為疫情延續了超過年半的時間,令到原本要不斷地鼓勵及邀請弟兄姊妹參予兒童事工事奉的機會中斷了。而因為未能及時招募及訓練,導致人手有所缺乏。

         親愛的弟兄姊妹,在這個緊急的過度時期,盼望你能盡快伸出援手,主動參予兒童事工,好讓每主日都有足夠弟兄姊妹,在兒童主日學及兒童崇拜中,繼續建立我們的下一代,以至他們都不會停止得到屬靈的餵養。而嬰孩照顧,亦同樣需要大家的幫助,好讓父母們能安心地敬拜。
